Our privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") describes what information we collect from hostels ("guests") who use our services ("Services") and visitors to Sjötorps Hostel website and how Sjötorps Hostel uses the information to better meet our Guests' needs.
We strive to maintain a high level of protection of privacy. Sjötorps Hostel uses Personal Data primarily to administer, provide, develop and maintain the Services, process your bookings, optimize your experience of the Services and individualize communication with you.

The personal information we collect depends on what is relevant for the purpose described in the special terms for each Service and this Privacy Policy. The information that may be collected is e.g. information about name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, IP address, information to facilitate the use of the Services (such as login), default language, user history, information about your travel company, booking preferences, payments, employment, contacts in emergency situations, requirements on special diet, requirements for disability adaptation and other information Guests leave when using the Services.

B. WHEN YOU MAKE A BOOKING THROUGH OUR WEBSITE
You can search for prices and availability without leaving any personal information. Visitors to our website who choose to book one of our Services online will need to complete a booking profile the first time they book. When you create a booking profile, you will be asked to provide special personal information, including your name, contact information and a guarantee to secure your booking such as a credit card number. By confirming a booking via our website and accepting our booking conditions, you agree that Sjötorps Hostel processes your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Credit card numbers will be verified with a check sequence, but no money will be deducted from the debit card.
Once you have confirmed your booking, all booking details that you have filled in will be sent to Sjötorps Hostel's guest database. When you provide personal information when booking through our website, we use encryption technology to keep your information secure. We also keep a copy of the reservation profile on our website, with the exception of the credit card number that is linked to your visit and booking. We then use that information to create a log in our web database. We can also combine information from a number of visitors to our website to identify how the website is used, when this happens all information that can identify specific visitors is deidentified.
C. WHEN YOU MAKE A BOOKING VIA OUR BOOKING DEPARTMENT G
You can also make a booking of our Services through our Booking Department via e-mail, telephone or directly on site at Sjötorps Hostel. When you book, we may ask you for personal information, such as your name, telephone number, e-mail address and payment method. We may also need information from you regarding specific wishes about your room, dietary needs or other wishes. A confirmation of your booking will be sent to you in writing to the email address you provide.
D. DURING YOUR VISIT
During your visit, costs are registered for the Services you use to be able to create a basis for an invoice. We also record this information to meet financial reporting requirements, including those introduced by auditors and authorities. We may also collect certain information in accordance with local laws such as passport number. Information specific to your stay can also be stored (ie health problems, payment difficulties, special requests, service problems). This information is stored in our booking system and is combined with information from previous visits that you may have made to us.
In addition, we may retain the contents of any document (including letters, comment cards, electronic documents such as e-mails and other similar forms of communication) that you send to us before, during or after your visit. This information can be shared internally with hotel staff. Finally, to prepare for your visit, we can also collect a profile picture from publicly available sources (such as LinkedIn and Facebook) to be able to give you as good an experience as possible with us.
3. HOW WE STORE AND TRANSFER YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Sjötorps Hostel stores Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. Sjötorps Hostel uses subcontractors e.g. for computer operations and Personal Data may therefore be transferred to these subcontractors. Our subcontractors process your Personal Data only on behalf of Sjötorps Hostel, in accordance with our instructions and only after they have signed a personal data assistant agreement in accordance with applicable law, so that we can ensure a high level of protection for your Personal Data.
Sjötorps Hostel may disclose Personal Information to third parties, such as e.g. police or other authority, if it concerns the investigation of a crime or if Hotel Riverton is otherwise obliged to disclose such information on the basis of law or an official decision. Sjötorps Hostel does not generally transfer Personal Data to countries outside the EU / EEA, but if we e.g. has a subcontractor in a country outside the EU / EEA or it is necessary for us to be able to carry out our contractual obligations to you, the transfer of Personal Data outside the EU / EEA can take place even if that country, according to the EU Commission, does not have adequate protection for Personal information. To ensure a high level of protection of your Personal Data in such situations and compliance with EU / EEA rules, Sjötorps Hostel enters into personal data assistance agreements with such subcontractors. Such personal data assistant agreements regulate the subcontractors' processing of Personal Data and, where applicable, the transfer of Personal Data in accordance with current EU / EEA rules on the protection of Personal Data. The agreements contain conditions that are required by the European Commission and that meet the requirements set by applicable law to protect the transferred Personal Data.
4. PROTECTION AND THINNING OF PERSONAL DATA Sjötorps
Sjötorps Hostel has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data against, for example, loss, tampering or unauthorized access. We continuously adapt our security measures to the continuous technical development.
Sjötorps Hostel thins Personal Data in accordance with applicable law at any time. This means e.g. that Sjötorps Hostel deletes or deidentifies Personal Data when the purpose for the processing of Personal Data no longer exists. 5. OTHER APPLICATIONS / WEBSITES
The Services may contain links to other applications and / or websites that are not controlled by Sjötorps Hostel. This Privacy Policy only applies to your use of the Services. Sjötorps Hostel is not responsible for the content of linked applications / websites and the processing of Personal Data that may be done by owners or operators of linked websites.
6. CHANGE, DELETE AND REVIEW YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
If your Personal Information changes, please inform Sjötorps Hostel by sending a message to the address stated in point 9. Sjötorps Hostel is not responsible for problems that arise as a result of Personal Information being old or incorrect if you have failed to inform us about the change .
Sjötorps Hostel will, at your request or when Sjötorps Hostel discovers it, correct or delete incorrect or incomplete information. You also have the right to receive an extract free of charge showing which Personal Data about you is being processed. Requests for extracts must be made in writing to Sjötorps Hostel to the address stated in point 9 and must be personally signed by you and contain information about your name, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address (used in communication with Sjötorps Hostel). The extract is sent to your population registration address within one month of the application being received by Sjötorps Hostel. How often you are entitled to an extract can vary depending on where you live.
You can at any time revoke your consent to further processing (not retroactively) of your Personal Data by contacting Hotel Riverton at the address stated in point 9, whereupon Sjötorps Hostel will prevent such information from continuing to be processed. However, you are reminded that revocation of consent does not affect treatment that may be done without consent (eg provision of Services you have ordered) but may lead to the Services not working as intended or that Sjötorps Hostel can no longer provide Services.
7. TRANSFER
If we sell, reorganize or otherwise transfer all or part of our business, your Personal Data may be transferred at the same time.
8. CHANGES IN OUR INTEGRITY POLICY
Changes to this Privacy Policy are announced by publishing the new terms and conditions on Sjötorps Hostel's websites so that you always know how we process your personal data.
